Gloucester to christen its new launch boat on May 19 Source:

The City of Gloucester is proud to announce the start-up of a launch service in its beautiful harbor. The launch is a first-class, 26-foot, 24-passenger, solid fiberglass “Duffy” built by Atlantic Boat Company. The public is invited to the christening on Sunday, May 19 at noon at the Harbormaster’s Dock, 19 Harbor Loop, Gloucester. Rides will be available, weather permitting.

  • Denali Selects 2019 Artists-in-Residence
    Five artists have been selected as Denali National Park and Preserve’s 2019 Artists-In-Residence. They will each spend 10 days in the park drawing inspiration and culminating in a public outreach activity. In addition, each artist will donate a piece of artwork to the park’s program collection. Residents are challenged to create pieces, inspired by their park experiences, which offer visitors fresh and innovative perspectives of the park.

    Denali National Park and Preserve and the communities of the Denali Borough invite all who love winter to come and celebrate Alaska’s longest season at Winterfest 2019, which is scheduled for February 22-24. This long-running community-wide event features an array of activities, with something for all ages, interests, and abilities!
  • Denali to Burn Debris Pile in Park Entrance Area
    Fire Management staff at Denali National Park and Preserve will attempt to burn debris consisting of trees and brush between February 19 – March 24, if weather conditions allow.
